Kara Child

BSc (Psych), BPsychSc (Hons), MProfPsych, MAAPi

I’m a registered psychologist dedicated to creating a safe, supportive space where clients feel truly heard and understood. With a warm and compassionate approach, I work collaboratively to help individuals navigate life’s challenges and connect with their strengths. My approach is grounded in mindfulness-based therapies, whilst also drawing on the principles of cognitive based therapy. I also offer EMDR therapy.

I take the time to understand each person’s unique experience and work collaboratively to explore practical, meaningful ways forward. No matter who I am working with, my focus is always on building a safe therapeutic relationship and helping those I work with to move toward greater clarity, connection and self-awareness.
